Tear down line in the Kakaotalk chatting room
What is this fat line on the Kakaotalk chatting room ?
In some cases, we could see one fat line in a Kakaotalk chatting room. This line looks like tearing down mark of paper.
Therefore we could guess this tells some kind of interruption for a chatting room. But I never experienced this, but some of my friends.
What does this actually mean ? When could we see this line ?
For further understanding on this matter, I want to verify it through the test.
Question from my reader on this matter !
One of my foreign reader asks me for this. His question and picture are as follows.
Question: "please , tell me what does that FAT LINE in kakao talk chatroom mean?"
Below is the attached photos on this question. We could clearly see the line in the mid of chatting room.
Tearing down mark indicates deletion of some chatting history.
I tested Kakaotalk chatting in the various condition. Finally I know a tearing down line on the Kakaotalk chatting room indicates missing of some chatting history.
The below is what I got through my test. I could also clearly get the tearing down line on the chatting room marked by rectangular box in the next photo.
What I have done on this test is as follows. I use my two Kakaotalk accounts simulating Person A and Person B. Person B uses both mobile and desktop Kakaotalk service.
Now both are chatting and quit. Then Person B logs out from desktop Kakaotalk. Both are chatting again. After this chatting, Person B leaves from this chatting room on the mobile causing remove all of the old chatting history.
Then both are chatting again. But this time Person B logs in desktop Kakaotalk. Now Person B's desktop Kakaotalk shows tear down line on that chatting room because desktop Kakaotalk has some missing part of chatting because that chatting room was removed on the mobile having no storing on kakaotalk server.
My test process are as follow.
Conclusively, tearing down line on the Kakaotalk chatting room means there is some missing part of chatting history. This is clearly caused by your deletion.
I hope this could be helpful to use Kakaotalk service well.
