Change of Kakaotalk blocking condition upon unregistration and re-registration

 Kakaotalk's friend blocking feature helps people to be away from somebody after their human relationship is broken. But blocking condition can be changed if one's Kakaotalk account is re-registered from service. Obviously this causes people confused for the status and situation.

Recently I got question from my reader as shown in below. She was asking me how to identify condition of blocking or ignoring after her Kakaotalk account is re-registered.

I read your blog about blocking people on Kakaotalk, which was quite interesting. Thank you for that! However, I have another question about blocking people on Kakaotalk.

I feel like an important friend has blocked me on Kakaotalk (there was a 1 behind my message for an unusual long time), so I unregistered myself and re-registered myself, added him with his ID again (we only have each other's Kakaotalk ID's, no phone numbers) and sent him a message. This time the 1 behind my message disappeared quite fast, but still got no reply, so I sent a message again. This time the 1 behind my message didn't disappear and it's still there. What do you think: did he block me or did he not block me and is he simply ignoring my messages?

Another (and maybe more simple) way to phrase my question is: if I block someone on Kakaotalk, but this person unregisters himself, then re-registers himself and adds me with my ID again, will he still be blocked? And will I still receive his messages or not?

To make sure of Kakaotalk's operation upon account unregistration and re-registration, I tested this with my accounts.

I have two Kakaotalk accounts which can say 'A' and 'SenseChef'.  They are added as a friend by its Kakaotalk ID respectively. And 'A' blocked 'SenseChef' on Kakaotalk as shown in below. Therefore message from 'SenseChef' to 'A' was not delivered.

 

 

 

 

Then 'SenseChef' account was completely unregistered and re-registered for testing. Surprisingly blocking condition for 'SenseChef' on 'A' was completely cleared out(removed) upon this event, and message from 'SenseChef' to 'A' was successfully delivered.

 

 

This test results shows clear answer for Kakaotalk's friend blocking feature.

If Kakaotalk accout is unregistered, all of blocking condition against this account is also gone. So unregistration of Kakaotalk account is one method to restore messaging with somebody.

But this might not be ultimate solution to resotre human relationship as somebody can block him/her again upon no progressive between them on the matter.
