Solving error "DOM Parser is undefined"

We are much embarrassed if we are encountered some of strange error message in our daily PC usage and one of those case is for DOM Parser error.

What is DOM Parser ? Name itself is not understandable.

DOM stands for Document Object Model and this is being used to cross conversion of documents among HTML, XHTML and XML. Therefore this DOM Parser translate user's input value to any of documents type that server on that web site could accept.

Next image shows the actual error message case over Internet Explorer.

I visited http://www.sprint.com over Internet Explorer and pop up error message "DOMParser is undefined" is immediately shown.

But this error message is only occured in some specific sites where documents translation functionalities are being used on that site. 

 

 

This is an example in Korean web site, http://auction.co.kr. Same error message is shown.

 

To fix this error, Go to menu, Tools > Internet options.

If you can not see the menu tree, press ALT key on Internet Explorer.

 

Now move to tab "Programs" on Internet options window and click "Manage add-ons".

 

On the window as shown in the below image, choose "All add-ons" in the left corner of show options. If you don't select this, you can not get all of add-ons listed on the right side.

On the lists in right side, move to "Microsoft Corporation" and choose "XML DOM Document" and click "Enable" in the bottom as shown in the below image.

Proceed this to "XML DOM Document 6.0".

XML DOM Document and XML DOM Document 6.0 should be enabled.

If these are disabled, you can get "DOM Parser is undefined" error mesage.

Click "Close" to complete and exit this operation.

Conclusively, to fix "DOM Parser is undefined" error, we should enable the XML DOM Document functionalities in Internet Explorer. This functionalities are enabled at the installation of Internet explorer, but this might be disabled by some of virus program or your own desion to delete or disable some of non-use or non-good add-ons.
